The National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) will submit a suggested list of imported protective gear to the Finance Ministry for tax rebate consideration soon.

Its chairman, Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye, who recently suggested that the government reduce the import tax on protective gear or personal protective equipment (PPE), said the proposed list would be sent to the ministry’s Tax Department.
